4 reviews for Forex Cargo

I am an American who has been living on and off in thr Philippines for many years now.

I have encountered endless frustrations in dealing with the typical Filipino business lack of accommodations.

I have never sent a Balikbayan box before. My wife did have experience with this and recommended Forex.

I was blown away. They came out to my condo exactly at the prearranged time, on a Sunday morning. My wife recognized the pick up agent from previous dealings in Hayward.

I watched this guy, Lido, Easily wrestle the over 200 pound box down the stairs.

The boxes are free and there are two sizes.

Forex is not the cheapest, but from what I have been told they are the most reliable. The wife has never experienced and problems. You can track your box online.

I will report back in about a month and tell about the delivery.

Ministry moots model to make India a hub for air traffic

To strengthen the dwindling aviation sector and streamline operational costs, the civil aviation ministry has initiated deliberations on a hub-and-spoke model for the country's aviation industry.

The ministry has called a meeting of airlines, private airport operators and the Airports Authority of India (AAI) on Wednesday to examine the feasibility of a hub-and-spoke model. "We are looking at a hub-and-spoke model for two to three years from now, by which time the economy would have come out of the current slowdown. It is a forward looking step, and we are consulting airlines and the airport operators. It will lead to route rationalisation and other such benefits," a ministry official told The Indian Express.

The model brings efficiency in the transportation sector by greatly simplifying a network of routes. The model is used by major airlines including American, United, US Airways, Delta, Continental, and Northwest. As of now, the government is evaluating if the Greenfield airports at Hyderabad and Bangalore, and the Delhi and Mumbai airports - which are currently undergoing renovation - can support such a model . Along with the option of domestic hubs, the ministry is also keen to explore if India can be promoted as a regional hub, connecting Western nations with Eastern and far-Eastern nations.

Introduction to How Baseball Works

Baseball is a game played with a bat, ball and glove. The fundamentals of the game involve throwing the ball, hitting the ball, and catching the ball. Of course, the execution of these three tasks is more challenging than it sounds, and it is that challenge that compels baseball players to play the game.
In this article, we will explain the complex game of baseball, review some of the basic rules and the equipment used and lay out the geography of a baseball field.
Baseball Basics
Unlike most games, a running clock does not limit the length of a baseball game. The two competing teams play over a period of innings, which are subdivided into halves. Professional and college games are generally nine innings long.
Up Next
During the first half of each inning, the visiting team bats and attempts to score points, called runs, while the home team players take their respective defensive positions in the field. The defense's goal is to get the offensive team's players "out" in a variety of ways. After three outs are recorded, the teams switch -- the offensive team moves to defense, and the defensive team moves to offense. The batting team sends one player at a time to try and hit the ball.
The engine of the sport is composed of two players -- the pitcher and the batter. All of the action in a baseball game revolves around these two combatants. The pitcher stands on a raised mound of dirt, called the pitcher's mound, which is 60 feet 6 inches (18.4 meters) from home plate in Major League Baseball. The batter stands on either side of the home base, called "the plate," holding a bat and facing the pitcher.
To set the game in motion, the pitcher attempts to throw the ball past the batter into the catcher's glove or make the batter hit the ball to put it in play. As the ball is put in play, the eight fielders try to catch it or throw out the batter (more on this later) so he can't get on base and ultimately score a point (a run). The batter's goal is to put the ball in play so that the eight fielders can't catch the ball or throw it to another fielder to record an out.

American football rules

The object of the game is to score more points than the opponent during the alloted time. Points are scored when a team has control of the ball but can also be scored when they do not. The team with the ball (the offense) has 4 tries (downs) to advance at least 10 yards, and can score points once they reach or near the opposite end of the field, called the end zone. If the offense does not advance at least 10 yards during their 4 downs, the team without the ball (the defense) regains control of the ball (called turnover on downs).
On offense, points are scored by advancing the ball into the opponent's end zone for a touchdown (worth six points), or by kicking the ball from the playing field through the raised vertical posts (the goal posts) in the back of that end zone for a field goal (worth three points). After scoring a touchdown, the offense is given one additional attempt to score. These attempts are termed point after touchdown (PAT) and are used to score 1 or 2 points as follows:
The offense may attempt a field goal kick which is worth 1 point.
The offense may attempt to re-advance the ball into the opponent's end zone for a two-point conversion worth 2 points.
While on defense, the defense attempts to prevent the offense from advancing the ball and scoring. If an offensive player loses the ball during play (a fumble) or the ball is caught by a defensive player while still in the air (an interception), the defense may attempt to run into the offense's end zone for a touchdown. The defense may also score points by tackling the ball carrier in the offense's own end zone, called a safety (worth two points).

The 17 Laws Of The Game For Association Football

The Laws of the Game are the rules by which every game of Association Football is played and are written and maintained by the IFAB, the International Football Association Board.
1. Law 1: The Field Of Play
Public Domain
Law 1 dictates the standard pitch measurements for an association football pitch as well as the rules governing the field of play including pitch markings, regulations for height, width and material of goalposts, dimensions of penalty areas and goal areas and official regulations for other areas of the field such as each team's technical area on the sidelines.

2. Law 2: The Ball

Law 2 of the IFAB's Laws ofthe Game states that the ball used in Association Football is an air-filled sphere with a circumference of 68–70 cm (or 27–28 inches), a weight 410–450 g (or 14–16 ounces), inflated to a pressure of 8–12 psi, and covered in leather or "other suitable material". The usual size of footballs in adult games is Size 5 although some junior leagues use Size 4 balls for smaller children.

3. Law 3: Number of PlayersEach team can consist of a maximum of eleven players, one of whom must be a designated goalkeeper who is the only player allowed to handle the football and only then within the confines of the penalty area. Teams are allowed to substitute players on a one-for-one basis throughout the game and the number of substitutes allowed is decided by the rules of the competition being played and not the central Laws of the Game.

4. Law 4: The Players' EquipmentPlayers are required to wear shirts, shorts, socks, shin guards and football boots with the necessary type of studs. Goalkeepers must wear clothing which easily distinguishes them from the other players and from the match officials. Players are not allowed to wear anything which may be dangerous to themselves or other players which can include jewellery or watches.

5. Law 5: The Referee

The referee has, according to Law 5, "full authority to enforce the Laws of the Game in connection with the match to which he has been appointed" and his decision on all matters is final. The referee is assisted in his duties by two assistant referees (formerly known as linesmen) and, in high profile professional games, by a fourth official on the sideline.

6. Law 6: The Assistant RefereesTwo assistant referees help the referee control an association football match with one covering each half of the pitch by running along the opposite touchline from each other in opposing halves. They help the referee by bringing his attention to matters he may have failed to see such as off the ball infringements or offside decisions and attracts the referee's attention by waving a flag. The assistant referee's role is purely advisory however as the referee always retains final control over decisions relating to the game.

7. Law 7: The Duration of the MatchAdult football matches consist of two halves of 45 minute seach making the total game time of ninety minutes. A fifteen minute half-time break is taken after the first half of 45 minutes and, as the clock is not stopped for infringements or the ball going out of play, the referee can use his discretion to add on "stoppage time" at the end of each half to take the time wasted during the half into consideration.

8. Law 8: The Start and Restart of PlayWhen the ball is "out of play" or at the start of each half, the game can be restarted by one of the eight following means:1) Kick-off2) Throw-in3) Goal kick4) Corner kick5) Indirect free kick6) Direct free kick7) Penalty kick8) Dropped-ball

9. Law 9: The Ball In and Out of PlayThe ball is defined as "In Play" when from the beginning of each half to the end of that half unless it has left the field of play by completely crossing either goal line or a touchline or the referee has stopped play for whatever reason, for example a foul or an injury. When the ball is "Out Of Play" it is considered dead until the referee allows the game to restart by the appropriate restart method, for example a goal kick, throw in, drop ball or corner kick.

10. Law 10: The Method of ScoringA goal is scored if the ball COMPLETELY crosses the goal line between the goal posts without a foul or infringement haven't been made by the attacking team's players since the time the ball last went out of play.

football

Although football can seem like a complicated game, the basic football rules are simple. If you have the ball, your team’s objective is to move the ball across the goal line. If the other team has the ball, your team’s objective is to stop them from making forward progress.

Football Rules That Define The Game
The goal in football is to advance the ball into the opponent’s end zone. The team in control of the ball is called the offense and the team trying to stop the offense is called the defense.

Football is played on a field that is 100 yards long. At each end of the field are10 yard long scoring areas called end zones. The football field is 160 feet wide and the lines that mark the edges are called sidelines.

Progress in football is measured in yards. The field is marked with stripes set at five-yard intervals. Shorter marks (called hash marks) are placed at one-yard intervals.

At the back of each end zone is a goal post that supports a crossbar. Attached to the crossbar are two uprights. Points can be scored by kicking the ball over the cross bar and between the uprights.

A football game is divided into four 15-minute quarters. The clock runs during plays but can be stopped for various reasons during the game. As a result, most football games last longer than the prescribed 60 minutes of play time.

Advancing The Ball
The offense has four attempts (called downs) to move the ball 10 yards down the field. If the offense is successful, they are awarded another set of four downs. If the offense fails to move the ball 10 yards in four downs, possession of the ball changes to the opposing team.

The ball is advanced by carrying it (called a running or rushing play) or throwing it to another player (called a pass play). A player may no longer advance if he runs out of bounds or is tackled (brought to the ground) by another player.

Scoring In Football
The football rules provide a number of ways to score, including:

* A touchdown (six points) — A touchdown is scored when a player with the ball crosses his opponent’s goal line—the line between the playing field and the opponent’s end zone.
* An extra point attempt (one or two points) — Once a touchdown has been made, the scoring team may add to their score by kicking an extra point attempt (kicking the ball through the uprights in the end zone) worth one point or by attempting a two-point conversion, which involves running or passing the ball across the opponent’s goal line using only one attempt.
* A field goal (three points) — A field goal is successfully completed when the ball is kicked through the opponent’s goal posts by the team in possession of the ball.
* A safety (two points) — A safety occurs when a player with the ball is tackled in his own end zone.
